Hey guys…. my name is Jenna. I start every other conversation with hey guys… out of habit, but it is something I am working on.
Im 28 years old. I graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism (with an emphasis of online journalism). I have ran tiny blogs, but they were never fully fulfilled because I was juggling my college courses.
I have a long retail/sales background and styled both men and women. I have found that making people feel good about themselves is one of the most gratifying jobs and that’s what’s kept me going in this industry. That is my why. The best piece of advice I have ever received was, “If you don’t love what you are doing you will never flourish in that,” and I try to live by that advice daily.
I reside in Dallas, Texas. You can find me traveling a lot to Oklahoma and of course back to my home state in California.
I love animals, probably a little too much. I admittedly look at horse videos on my spare time on Instagram. Also, my teacup Yorkie named Bear goes everywhere with me.
I am never not listening to music. It’s a part of my everything I do. I probably go to two concerts a month, and that is not including when I go to festivals. I love collecting concert merch and I love how music brings me and my friends together. I am lucky to have a concert/festival group in Dallas and you know who you guys are :).
I am very sarcastic and tomboy like because I grew up with two brothers. I openly don’t know how to put eyeshadow on so you can guarantee I probably won’t be blogging about makeup any time soon. Somehow despite all of this I still have a girly feminine side to me. Lastly, I over-apologize to a fault and I think I am one of the last of the millennials to say “pardon me” instead of “say what” or “do what”. I’m sorry but I can NOT stand that 🙂
I wanted to blog again because I felt like there was a need for twenty somethings like me with my style. I love writing and I love styling so why not? There is plenty of room for more bloggers and content creators in the world. My perfect parallel to the need for more fashion bloggers is the need for more actors in Hollywood. With more genres evolving and other platforms to watch movies expanding like Netflix and Hulu the need is increasing just like the blogosphere.
