HI. Yes, we’ve all been here. Those days where nothing is looking good. Those days where you try on every outfit combination possible in your closet and your mans (or girl) is waiting on you and getting more annoyed by the minute so he probably won’t compliment you about your look because he’s hangry (and his compliment is the only one who can salvage the situation). I know long run-on sentence… but as usual… I digress.
I’m wrapping up my posts that are only directed towards women seeing as I want to be a resource for men and women (His and Her’s Fashion Blog). That doesn’t mean I won’t write posts like this ever again…. but I thought I’d conclude the Miss Atomic Brunette series up with a bang… a how to – more specifically – ” how to add a touch of lingerie to spice up your wardrobe.” (HI MOM AND DAD GO AHEAD AND SKIP OVER THIS ONE PLEASE! LOVE YOU!)
A quick update on me (“I HAVE A POINT. I PROMISE.” ELLE WOODS VOICE). I contemplated putting this post on here because I like to stay positive on here, but I’m hoping that my case can impact someone in a positive way. I went to the ER about a week ago for dehydration caused by vertigo. I always have sinus infections because of my allergies out here in the dirty south. I quickly learned that I wasn’t able to stand up without getting dizzy and/or throwing up. To use the bathroom or get water I had to close my eyes to prevent myself from getting sick. I couldn’t look at my phone or even look at the ceiling. I was so scared to get out of bed and may have prolonged going to the doctor longer than I should of have.
Fast forward to my roommate helping me go to the ER and getting the fluids and medicine I needed. During my six-hour period there after a series of blood work, MRI’S and peeing in a cup I learned that I need to keep up with cleaning my inner ears (not with a Q-tip!) or I will get vertigo. I told them I thought it was my ears from the start lol!
I brought up this story because right now I don’t feel quite myself. I am not able to workout. I feel a lot slower than I normally am (mentally). Nothing tastes good to me food wise. I just had a snack bag of cheese-its (my favorite)…. and they were…blase. WTF like my ultimate comfort food?! I feel fat. I don’t feel sexy.
So what do I do in moments like these? I put on my feminine pieces that make me proud to be a lady. LOL AND THE GUYS THOUGHT LINGERIE WAS ONLY FOR THEM… There is nothing I love more than feeling feminine and sexy in my own skin. Sometimes we need to wear beautiful feminine things to remind us just that. Now I know I’m not reinventing the wheel here, but a lot of us have this in our closets already and we don’t need to wear it just to please someone else.
Now I shot these looks before my ER stint… HOWEVER tonight at dinner I will adding a “touch” of lingerie to my outfit. What I mean by a “touch” is wearing a bodysuit/”teddy” or bralette as a top to complete my look. The sheer pieces I add bralettes/bras underneath.
If you are older reading this and not deeming it age appropriate or lingerie is simply too bold for you? No problem! Add a sexy silk top underneath your blazer with lace (yes that’s still sleepwear hunny) or a slip dress and top it with a blazer or leather jacket for date night!

BELOW ARE MY LOOKS.
I’m NOT saying wear this to work at your nine to five and show your nipples. I’m saying add a touch to your date night outfit (or in my case girls night outfit) in a tasteful way underneath a blazer or something at night time.

Here’s to wearing whatever makes us feel sexy! Cheers to the almost weekend!
