***DISCLAIMER – I’m not a food/health/diet food expert. I’m not on a diet and never will be. I just like to eat: REAL. CLEAN. PRODUCTS. Did I mention that I LIKE TO EAT? I grew up with boys… so I had to eat before they ate everything in the pantry. I continue that today… but with healthier options so it all balances out all chocolate and tequila that I consume.
I also am a creature of habit. If you know me… you know I generally eat the same 5 things. I’ll switch up dressings here and there or sides… but I like consistency with food.
Green Superfood Powder:
So you don’t have time to eat veggies? No problem. Some days… me neither. It’s hard to eat vegetables on days when you are constantly on the go. I toss this into my fruit smoothies on the busier days when I know I don’t have time to eat/prep a quality meal… so I don’t feel so bad about the tequila I drink(s) later 🙂
The flavor below is the exact one I buy. I haven’t tried the others (the other flavors don’t sound appetizing to me.) I don’t mix this into my post workout peanut butter and chocolate smoothies. I just use this in my berry fruit smoothie recipe for taste. (If you want specifics – I mix blueberries + strawberries + peanut butter + almond milk + this + 1 bitted date + sometimes a couple ice cubes if too thick = then I’m set.)
There is no vegetable taste in my smoothie if you are wondering! It’s masked by the other ingredients. You can also drink this by mixing it into water or juice – but that doesn’t sound appetizing to me.
SOYBEAN/CANOLA OIL FREE DRESSING:
A dressing that doesn’t have any oils that are terrible for you! (I.E. soybean oil, canola oil, etc.) The avocado lime ranch from Chick-fil-A is obviously my favorite but is packed with tons of fat and highly processed ingredients like above that cause serious inflammation. If you ever want to know look at the label lol. The biggest “dupe” for the Chick-fil-A one is THIS PRIMAL KITCHEN ONE ABOVE. I love it! I make grilled veggies on the stove in one pan… then grill black bean burgers in the other pan or left over chicken.. depending on my mood. Then I mix all in a salad bowl and top it with my dairy-free cheese and there you have dinner or lunch in less than 15 MIN.
DIARY-FREE COFFEE CREAMER:
This is such an awesome dairy-free creamer! It’s a great alternative to half and half or heavy cream without having to run to the bathroom. PRO-TIP: use a frother with this then add cinnamon on top. There you have a Starbucks quality drink that is diary free and with no sugar!
DIARY-FREE CREAM CHEESE:
THIS CREAM CHEESE IS BOMB.COM. I dip my carrots in this. I use it as a spread (instead of mayo) on my wraps. I use on top of crackers. The list goes on and on. My favorite is the everything bagel cream cheese from Kite Hill. It’s out of stock on Amazon, but you can also get at Whole Foods. Another pro-tip of mine is I add the everything bagel seasoning (below) on top of it for an extra salty fix when I’m feeling a salty craving. Probably not the greatest but so so so so so good.
SEASONING:
There are not enough good things I can say about this seasoning. It’s another way to help me eat my vegetables and it’s also delicious on top of salmon. I add this to my riced cauliflower and/or green beans. Another way I use it is on top of my salad to give it an extra salty kick and crunch. Lastly, I will use it on my wraps and I’ll even add it to a plain hummus.
TORTILA CHIPS:
I eat Mexican food every other day. This is not an exaggeration. This is me. It’s easy and I find it superb. I am either making a taco salad or tacos. I haven’t been eating a lot of bread or grains and that has been possible with the help of Siete Family Foods. These are so delicious! I even eat these with hummus. Sometimes I will smash a couple and add them to my taco salad for something crunchy in my salad. I also love their tortillas (also grain free), queso and bean dip! I manly use their tortillas for wraps and tacos! They are another must buy!
FRUIT SNACKS:
So. I have a serious problem with fruit snacks. I have loved them since day one. Then when I realized what all fruit snacks are made up of gelatin – a yellowish, odorless, and nearly tasteless substance that is made by prolonged boiling of skin, cartilage, and bones from animals. I began to buy organic fruit snacks. After a year search of double checking fruit snack labels and throwing my money at different ones I found these Yum Earth fruit snacks. I find myself craving these all the time and they have a banana flavored fruit snack in the pack and they are always the first gone in the pouch! They are the pink Starburst of fruit snacks lol!
PERFECT BAR:
Meet your newest obsession. You can thank me later. I saved the best for last with this one and I’ve hope you’ve read down to here. I always say, “Don’t talk to me until I’ve had my coffee and my Perfect bar.” I eat one every day with my cup of Joe. It sets the tone for my day. I don’t know if this is a healthy obsession or not, but I LOVE THEM SO MUCH! My favorite flavor is the peanut butter and dark chocolate chip. I’ve tried the other flavors… they don’t amount to it! I’ve tried a lot of other protein bars they don’t amount to it! It tastes just like cookie dough and I love how its refrigerated. They are perfect on the go when I am working and I don’t have time to cook a proper meal.
If you just want to try them first before committing to buying a value pack no problem! You can find them in singles at Starbucks and in the refrigerator by the milk at Target.

If you want to try any of these they are mostly told at Whole Foods, Trader Joe’s or a Kroger like grocery store! I wrote this because I would love to read something like this and I hope it serves you as well! Comment below on your healthy staples that I’ve missed. The more the merrier!
